About S.E.M.K.A. Karate

What is S.E.M.K.A?

Samurai = Honourable Japanese Warrior.
Enlighten = Reaching Of Ones Goals.
Mushin = Clear Mind.
Karate = Wado-Ryu.
Academy = School of Excellence.

Samurai Enlighten Mushin Karate Academy (S.E.M.K.A.) is under the direction of Sensei P.D. Elliott 7th Dan in the style of Wado-Ryu Karate.

This group consists of like minded Instructors who want to train and develop Wado Ryu as taught by the Founder Master Hironori Ohtsuka.

Apart from Wado-Ryu Karate other aspects within S.E.M.K.A. are taught including Self-Defence, Healing, Tai Chi, Tensho Chi and Meditation.

S.E.M.K.A. student's code of conduct:

1. As a student of Wado-Ryu Karate I strive to understand the ‘WAY’, to practice this art to the best of my ability, and to commit myself to the training.
2. By respecting myself I respect all others.
3. By knowing myself.
4. By never breaking a promise.
5. By not speaking ill of others.
6. By not being afraid of anything.
7. By respecting the opinions of others.
8. By having compassion and understanding for everyone.
9. By never forgetting to be appreciative.
10. Never lose my "Beginner's Sprit."
